cross domain tracking issue

Jul 05, 2012

We are currently having trouble with getting articulate presenter '09 to track completion on the new LMS we are renting from Success Factors(LMS used to be Plateau). Our courses are housed on a different server then the LMS. We cannot use the relay.asp or realy.php files to eliminate any cross domain issues as our servers do not support them.

It does seem like it will track but when we checked for completion status to pass it was taking anywhere from 30 seconds to ten minutes.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get past this issue? Or does anyone know of a vendor we could contact to work with us on this?

thanks

Brett

Welcome to Heroes, Brett!

Other than trying the steps in this article, which it sounds like are not options for you, maybe someone who has faced a similar situation can chime in.

Hi Peter,

Could you please explain to me how to process the Step 5 listed in the "AICC cross domain issue" for ASP and PHP?

I mean, how to update the URL make it point to relay.asp

Thanks

Hi there Xin. Welcome to the community!

By the time you make it to step 5, you should have the "course.au" file in a text editor, such as Notepad.

When you publish your course for LMS, the "course.au" file is generated and provided in the output folder:

Right-click on the file and select "Open with..." and choose Notepad from the program list. If Notepad isn't in the list, you may need to look for an option that will allow you to choose a different program (this will vary depending on your operating system).

Once you have the file open, you'll see the URL you need to modify:

I hope this helps!
