Can you tell me why you would want the information there, but you want to disable the ability to click on them? Are you trying to group or organize content differently in the Outline?
Lets say you have a course with 30 slides and you want to give a preview or demo to a client. I want them to see the complete package and all of the information there but only be able to access 3-4 slides.
It's not currently possible to "disable" slides in that manner. However, I'd recommend creating a copy of your presentation & then just filling those slides with a demo disclaimer like this:
"Sorry. This slide is not available during the demo."
My suggestion would be to 'hide' the slides in the Outline. The slides will still show up in the presentation, and the notes will also be available (if you have the notes tab enabled in the Player). This allows a shorter 'outline' to appear.
Here's how to do this:
1. In PowerPoint, select the Articulate menu
2. In the Articulate menu, select the Slide Properties button. This may take a few seconds to appear.
3. When the slide properties 'table' appears, you can do a couple of things here:
a. Right click the title of a slide in the Navigation Title column and select 'Hide in Navigation' - this will hide the slide title though the slide will still play and the notes associated to the slide (if any) will appear in the Notes pane
b. Single left click the title of the slide and edit it - you could change the title to be something like what is listed above (i.e. this slide is not available for selection) or something else. To save, click off.
I came to this page looking for a way to also create a demo with a full menu where only a portion is live and the rest is grayed out. I already did a sample where I left in all slides and deleted content on the slides, and indicated the content is not available in a demo preview version. Our 'boss' doesn't like that approach. He specifically wants the entire menu to show but only allow users to click a select number of live slides.
Please pass along a request for this capability in a future release.
Thanks
p.s. the options presented to date do not adequately suffice or otherwise address our need.

Hi,
I am changing the levels of the slides, but Articulate is not saving my levels. I keep changing everything from hidden to level one, but when I look in the preview, they are all still hidden. Can you help?
Try publishing your project and viewing the published output. When you preview a course, I believe you'll see the template with which you last published, rather than the one you're currently working with. So when you go to publish, just be sure to select the template you'd like to see in your final version and your changes should show up.

Will that work for you?
Good suggestion. That is not an ideal solution, but might be acceptable if I do not think of anything else. Thanks for your help.
Let me know if there's anything else that I can help with.
