Just to confirm. You inserted a text box in PowerPoint and found Articulate does not support it. If that is right, what did you see or not see? Have a screenprint?
I insert text boxes all the time, especailly when I want to animate certain things and have had no problems.
Are you referring to a "text field", as in one that would allow entry of text? To enable learner entry of text you'd need to use an external embedded tool (Quizmaker, Engage, custom Flash, etc..) Entry fields or other form elements will not translate to published output.

Yes, Thanks Steve. I am talking about the text box (Active X control) rather than the normal text box.
No, I am not designing an interactive element. I am trying this function and want to see the compatibility with Articulate. Maybe someday I can use it.

The screen shot of the text box issue I am talking about:
Fig.1: Text box previewed in ppt
Fig.2: Text box previewed using Articulate
The scroll bar was gone, so that the learners could not scroll up and down to see all the texts.
It's actually processing the control as a graphic. I don't believe it's an interactive element.
