Each time I try to use Presenter 360 with PowerPoint 2013, it kicks me out

Apr 04, 2017

I installed Studio 360 including Presenter and created my Articulate presentation, but PowerPoint kept kicking me out -- the Articulate tab would disappear. I would go into Options and reactivate Articulate and it would work but then would crash again. Now I need to go back in and edit my Articulate presentation, but PowerPoint keeps kicking me out. What should I do?

Hey there Steve,

Oh no, sorry you keep running into this! Is it possible you're working from a network or flash drive? Those are known to cause issues, so we always recommend working from your local C: drive. If you're already working locally, make sure your PowerPoint Trust Center Settings aren't preventing add-ins from working. Here's how:

  1. In PowerPoint, go to the File tab on the ribbon and click Options.
  2. Select the Trust Center tab on the left side of the window that appears.
  3. Click the Trust Center Settings button on the right side of the window.
  4. When the Trust Center opens, select the Add-ins tab on the left.
  5. If the box is marked to Disable all Application Add-ins, uncheck it.
  6. Click OK twice, then restart PowerPoint for the changes to take effect.

From there, I'd do a repair of Studio 360, then reach out to our Support Engineers right here if you still can't get past this issue. Let me know how it goes!
