Embed (non-YouTube) video web link to slide
Apr 27, 2012
Hello,
Hope someone can help! We have a media server at our institute where all our videos are stored, and I want to embed some of these videos into a Presenter file. When I insert the video the file size is way too big - so not an option - and I'm not sure we could put them on a site such as YouTube.
The embed code is:
<embed src="https://medialibrary.rgu.ac.uk/player51.swf" width="320" height="260" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=260&width=320&file=79400135_hi.mp4&streamer=rtmp://mediastream.rgu.ac.uk/flash/mp4:&searchbar=false&autostart=false&image=https://medialibrary.rgu.ac.uk/thumbnails/79400135.jpg" />
But when I embed as a video from website, it does not work on publishing with Articulate.
The direct weblink for the file is: http://mediastream.rgu.ac.uk/flash/79400135_hi.mp4
If I insert this link for "insert web object" it does work - but only if QuickTime is installed on the machine (as far as I know). Can anyone think of a more user-friendly way of doing this?
Thank you!
Steph
