Embedding SoftSim swf files - player resizes

Feb 22, 2012

Hi,

I am embedding Outstart SoftSim swf files into a training course.  When reading the pubished course the player template fills the screen as set.

However as soon as you click on a slide with an embedded swf file, the player resizes itself within the browswer window, and stays small for the rest of the course.

This means the sims are unreadable (even making the fonts bigger in the sim).  It also means users cannot resize the window for the rest of the course.

Any ideas?

Hi yes,

I've tried all variations of adjusting the settings.  Once the Sim opens in a slide, it seems to reset the browswer size to small for that slide and the rest of the slides.

What's a real shame is that when I run the PowerPoint as a presentation the sims look great.  It's only when I publish the course that they don't display as well.

The other thing i tried was saving the Sim as an html file onto our server and then creating a hyperlink in the course to try and open the sim in a separate browser window.  (not ideal but doable).  this works in PowerPoint, but again once published it doesn't work in Articulate.  Am I doing something wrong or is that how it works?

Hey Nicola,

If you'd like, you can send us your files so we can take a closer look. Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:
