Ending Presenation - Confirm module was taken

May 16, 2012

Is there a way I can add a slide at the end of my presentation which will generate an email that will confirm staff have completed the module?

Thank you!

Hi Stephanie,

I'm assuming that you are not in an LMS.  There isn't a direct way to do this out of the box.  But you have a couple of options.

#1 - Use Quizmaker at the end and then check the email option in the results slide.

#2 - Hide your final slide so they won't know its there or use restricted options so they can't get to it without going through the course.  Then you can create a hyperlink on the page that says something like Click Here To Let Us Know You Are Done.  Hyperlink it using the HTML code mailto: ?body=I've completed the course.  You may need to do some tweaking and of course this is not foolproof.  Someone can definitely mess with it once they get the email client to open up.

Hope that helps some.

One more question. I created the results slide and in the preview it looks good, but once I publish my entire presenation, the

results slide doesn't show up. There seems to be a blank slide at the top right corner that says the name of my results slide but not showing as part of the course. I would like it to show as the last slide. I hope I'm making sense.

Thanks again!

Stephanie

Sorry.  Learning Management System.  Something like Articulate Online or SumTotal, etc.  A tracking/reporting system.  sounds like looking into one might be beneficial for your org.  I can offer some guidance if you would like.  Shoot me a PM if interested.

Robert,

I am currently using the trial version of Articulate Online. I expect to have hundreds of learners to manage, as I train sales organizations and need to be able to assemble training modules into job-appropriate curriculum. Is there any LMS you would recommend that is a good competitor to Articulate Online?
