Engage and Quiz files are connecting from different path while reintegration

Oct 09, 2015

Hi All,

Can anyone suggest the solution for an issue which I am facing frequently,

If I am opening any Engage or Quiz from PPT file those files directly opens from some long path of C drive instead of asking for new path.

As of now I am removing these files by going to Quizmaker Quiz/Engage Interaction >Remove tab and adding them back by giving local disk path where PPT file is located.

It's very time consuming when there are multiple files present in course.

I am attaching screenshot of path from where files are directly connecting.

Hi Abhishek. You should not need to remove the files. When you edit the files, Presenter uses that as a temporary file path. Your quiz and engage interaction files should be updating if you simply select Edit in Quizmaker or Edit in Engage on your Quizmaker and Engage slides and then select Save and Return to Articulate Presenter

Hi Justin,

Thank you very much for this information,

But I would like to explain this issue in more detail, because still the issue is not solved.

When we receive translated .pptx or .ppt file from translation and start with the reintegration  for the very first time.

Even that time it goes to temporary file path instead of asking for new path as mentioned in the attached screenshot (Capture.PNG).

As all the files has to relocate because .pptx or .ppt file removes all the supporting file links automatically as per my knowledge, when it goes through an automated translation process.

Hi Abhishek.

If you are creating multiple versions of the same content, I would suggest taking a look at this article on how to manage project files. The trick is to create an Articulate Presenter Package file that you can share with a translator, for example. They can update the content, create an Articulate Presenter Package of what they worked on and share it with you. This should keep the resources of your project together in a way that doesn't require rebuilding the presentation by having to reinsert Quizmaker quizzes or Engage interactions.
