Error when importing SWF

I am trying to recreate an Authorware lesson in Articulate.  The original was made in 2001.  When I attempt to import an SWF animation and click OK on the "Insert Flash Movie" dialog box, I get a little dialog box with a heading "Articulate Presenter UI" and a message "Type mismatch in AP5.FlashWiz.cmdSave_Click  at line 108" and an OK button.  When I click OK, I get a new dialog box with a heading "Articulate Presenter" and a message "Unable to get reference to the active slide. Please ensure that the slide is selected and then repeat this operation." When I click OK on that dialog box, I go back to the Insert Flash Movie dialog box.  I don't know Flash and have no idea what is going on. Any ideas?
