You can't run EXE files that are embedded into a webpage. That's considered a security risk and browsers don't allow that. If you want to have the end-user run the EXE alongside the course, then you'll need to hyperlink to the EXE from within a slide and tell the end-user to run the EXE file.
I can understand that web browsers do not allow that, no problem. But, is the Articulate course seen as a web page?
Is the solution you describe to add the EXE file in the course as a attachemnt and tell the user to run the file.
or
to hyperlink to the file placed in the Articulate package?
I am not sure i understand how the hyperlink will start the EXE file and were that program will start? Outside the Articulate course in a separate window or inside the course?
Hi Mats, articulate runs within a web browser, Brian is suggesting you add a hyperlink to the file and get the user to download and then run the program, the hyperlink will just start the download, the program will run outside of the articulate window not inside the course
