Fails to insert media into slide

Dec 02, 2013

I utilize windows 8 and have Articulate 13 Pro.

I can insert media into the presenter panel without error.  However, Whenever I try to insert into the slide or even into a new browser I get the articulate "report an error" screen.   I have been submitting but realize it may not been seen quickly.

I have version 1.1 ... have tried to reinstall ... completed virus scans ... checked my Powerpoint "trust options" and even did a system restore to a few days ago just in case.

Still get the same error.

Any thoughts would be helpful

Hi Bob!

Sorry to hear about the trouble.

First, can you tell me if you're working with local project and media files? Try to make sure they're located on your local hard drive (usually your C: drive). If you try to work with a project on an external drive, such as a network drive or USB drive, that could cause some trouble.

Since it sounds like the main issue is with the media file, try to move the file to your desktop or somewhere on your local hard drive and see if that fixes the problem. It may also help to check the file name of the media file, as well.

Here's more information:

Also, I apologize for any confusion. The error reports don't actually initiate a support case with our support team - these are reported to us, but in order to communicate with our support engineers, you'll want to submit this form, or you can email them directly at support@articulate.com

Thanks!
