Filenames too long

Hi. I am having difficulty publishing/zipping a scorm course. I have had to make edits to a course that was not developed my me. It was done by a vendor. When I try to publish it on the network drive, it won't publish properly (i.e. the web object folder is not created) and the zipped file hangs, it does not finish zipping. If I publish it on my jump drive it will completely publish and I can zip it. However, when I try to copy it over to the network drive, it hangs and a windows message comes up saying it can't copy the files over because the filename length limit of 255 characters has been exceeded. I believe the articulate filenames are too long for shapes found in a quiz. Can someone please help me. Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the community! It's best to publish to your local hard drive. This article includes some relevant information including the length of the path/file name which is a Windows limitation.
Just to add to what Mike says, the filename is including all of the folder names as well, it is the whole path. try adding it to a folder in the root of drive
Please install Long Path Tool as this is the best software available right now.
