Flash Movie Displays incorrectly on when published to LMS
Mar 28, 2011
Ok, this is bizarre and I can’t seem to find any logical reason as to why it’s happening.
I have PowerPoint2010 I have added an Flash movie I created to the slide. The flash movie is slightly larger than the slide screen so I resized it down about 20% to fit the center of the slide. Everything looks and works great so far. I can view and publish the powerpoint with articulate presenter with no issue.
The issue is once I upload to my LMS the Flash movie is back to the original size and located Down and to the right of the screen so we only can see to top of the animation. What gets even more bizarre is that each browser seems to display it differently sometimes it will display it correctly and others not within the same browser. To take it one step further I have another powerpoint I created with a simular flash movie and have no issues with it even on the LMS. They both seem almost identical in configurations.
Ever seen anything like this? I will attach screenshots.

Have you tried using the Web Object method to see if you get the same result? publish your flash with the html file named "index.html", then use that as the webobject. Set the size you want the flash piece to play in the index file before you import.
Hi Jason & welcome to Heroes,
It looks like your SWF file is set to allow resizing. You may need to disable that. For other best practices for SWF files, see the link below:

Thank you,
Can you tell me where I would change the resizing.
JL
I still can seem to resolve this issue. the web object method wont work with the LMS.
I have tried changing the resize option in articulte. It will show great on one computer and not on others.
So weird.
I have another training with same idea that plays with no issue.
Thanks but the issue is not undesirable content its the anamation is displaying inconsistently on the screen. Everytime we view the Flash movie in the presentation its displayed larger than the screen.
Sorry Jason. I misread your original question. You replied before I had deleted my response.
