Hi, there is a flash movie inserted on a slide. I see it when it is played. I don't see the flash (swf) icon on the slide itself in PowerPoint. How can I view the icon so I can edit the properties? When I click the flash icon in the toolbar, it grays out the option to edit the properties.
SWF movies can't be edited in Presenter. To edit SWF movies, you'll need to use third-party editing software. Then import the edited files into Presenter.
No that's not what I mean.
I know that the flash movie object has been inserted into the slide because it plays when I run it. But there is nothing on the slide that tells me it is there. and when I click on the Flash icon, I cannot access the menu item, "Edit Flash Properties." I should be able to because there is a flash movie attached to the slide.
Does that make better sense?
Sincerely,
Cappie Suttle

Thanks for clarifying - are you following the steps here:
To edit properties for a Flash file after it has been imported into Presenter:
Select the Flash file placeholder on the slide and go to the Articulate tab on the PowerPoint ribbon.
Click the Flash drop-down arrow and choose Edit Flash Properties.
Make your changes and click OK.
If you are and you're still having difficulty we'll want to take a look at your Presenter package that includes the Flash file. You could share just that one particular slide and upload it here using the "add attachment" button.
