Flash rollover button alignment
May 14, 2011
I need to add several rollover buttons to a slide. The functionality is not a problem, but I found the alignment to be much more challenging than expected and I am hoping someone can provide a tip to make the alignment easier.
Here's my workflow: Export an image (tiff) of the 4:3 slide using PPT 2010. Import that image into Flash, scale the image to 720x540 with aspect constrain on, center on stage, position the buttons, and export the swf. Add the .swf in Articulate and publish with No Sidebar.
I notice that the published slide is cropped by about 5 to 10 pixels compared to the PPT slide and the Flash button is about 10 to 20 pixels further to the right of where it should be positioned.
Is there on option I might have set incorrectly or is Presenter cropping the slide?
Any ideas or thoughts on how to simplify the alignment would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ron
I always save the slide as a png from powerpoint (cant say this will have n affect though), have you tried exporting your flash file as an image set as png, 720 x 540 and overlaying that on your powerpoint slide to check alignment?

Thanks for the suggestion Phil.
The problem was simply one of the image bounding boxes was off the master slide. Even though all content was on the slide, it seems to affect the scaling. Would have never guessed that one.
