Flash Text Input
Mar 06, 2012
Hello there,
I have made a flash object with text input fields and have inserted this into the articulate file that was then published. I would like to know how to retain the information that users input. The published file will be hosted on an LMS quite soon.
I have had a look over any posts relating to text input boxes and couldn't find an answer that really replied to this problem directly.
Thanks so much for any help,
Errol

It would be great to know if this is possible at all or if there is any possibility of storing information in SCORM packages.

I believe this would definitely require some advanced action script which is beyond my scope of knowledge. However, I would love to know some different ways this could be done.
Hey Errol -
What you're trying to do is possible, but it does require some AS2 programming. You might want to take a look at this widget James put together. He sets a Flash global variable to track user input across a series of slides. It might be a starting point for what you're trying to do.
Another idea might be to insert a Web Object that contains JavaScript buttons that can pass data outside the course. Just an idea and starting point.
