I suddenly started to receive this message "Flashplayer 10 or higher for Internet Explorer is required to run Articulate Presenter ‘13" when I have a ppt presentation open and select "publish"
Has anyone ever received this message and if so, what was the solution?
Adobe released Flash Player 16 on December 9, 2014 and, as a result, Articulate Presenter won’t operate. This issue was fixed in Update 5 for Presenter. See this article for details.
If you also have Articulate Replay, you should install its latest update as well.
Thanks for the link (for Articulate Replay)! But after installing the latest update the same problem persists. I'm still getting the same message "Flash Player 10 or higher for Internet Explorer is required to run Articulate Replay"
I had the same problem as Tanya. I tried both updates and I still can't get Articulate to work. I am working in Windows 7 and MS PowerPoint 2013. I have Adobe Flash Player 17 installed. Does anybody have any other suggestions?
Hi Ed! If you've already installed the updates and still having difficulty, I encourage you to reach directly out to our support team here so that we can understand what is happening.
Hi Ed! Thanks for mentioning that and I see your case (00509433). I took a look and your reply was flagged as spam and was not properly received. I have updated those flags and you should be hearing from someone soon.
I looked into Ed's case, and it seems that he needed to go through the entire uninstall/reinstall process vs. just downloading and installing the update.
Here are the recommended steps:
1) Close all running applications.
2) Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Programs and Features, and uninstall Articulate Studio '13 (Remove All option).
4) Temporarily disable (turn off) your anti-virus program. NOTE: This step is included to avoid possible conflicts with anti-virus programs during installation.
5) Extract (unzip) the downloaded installer. Right-click the installer and select "Run as administrator” to install Studio '13 Update 5.
6) Re-enable your anti-virus program.
7) Restart your computer. Test your software.
NOTE: Articulate software must be installed with administrative privileges. If you're not an administrator on your computer, please ask your IT staff for assistance. On the other hand, Articulate software must be activated with a valid serial number by the person who will be using it. Administrative privileges are not necessary for activation. Just reply to this email if you need more help.

If you are still prompted with the Flash Player issue, please do the following:
I would need to get IT support to do all this uninstalling and reinstalling. Can anyone confirm that it actually works? I have Flash player 18.0.0.194 on my system.
Replay has never worked well for me. Is it worth the trouble?? Opinions?
The first thing you'll want to confirm are that you're working with the latest updates of Studio '13, Replay or Storyline 1 and 2 as there was an issue with an update to Flash that caused problems with each.
In Ed's case it seemed that going through all the steps was necessary, so that would be the steps after ensuring you're using the latest update - which if you're unable to open any Articulate products to confirm you'll want to begin by downloading and trying to install the update. The links Leslie shared above will direct you to the Studio and Replay updates (latest versions of each).
The latest update is Update 6 available here. If you're not seeing that when clicking on "check for updates" it may be an issue with the internet connection, but you can use the link I shared to download it and install.

Hi Leslie,
Thanks for the link (for Articulate Replay)! But after installing the latest update the same problem persists. I'm still getting the same message "Flash Player 10 or higher for Internet Explorer is required to run Articulate Replay"
Is it because Adobe has released Flash Player 17?
Thanks,
Bern
Hi Bern! The link above is for Studio.
The link for Replay can be found here. Can you let me know if this resolves your issue?
