I may have asked this a long time ago but am still struggling.
What do others call their finished Presenter productions (especially when they are not intended as eLearning lessons)? I am looking for something short, descriptive and somewhat catchy.
Slidecast has been suggest and in general use seems to cover it. Any other names or descriptions that people use?
Hi Brian! I've seen folks share some pretty creative names in similar discussions... here are some:
Skill-builders
Walk-throughs
Guides
Tutorials
Demos
Virtual lectures
Lessons
Quick reference guides
Job aids
eSeminars
eCourses
eScenarios
eSimulations (lots of e's)...
Resources
Learning objects
Articulations
A good rule of thumb is to name them according to their purpose of value that they're providing the learner. In other words, you might end up calling different projects different names, if they don't all serve the same purpose. Some might be job aids, some might be demos, some might be simulations, etc.
