In 09, Glossaries were created in Engage and attached. Now they're typed directly into a Glossary. I'm updating MULTIPLE courses from 09 to 13 with Glossaries ... does anyone have a simple way to recreate huge glossaries ... or can I still just attach as a resource?

The Glossary Interaction is still available in Engage '13 and you should be able to update and utilize in your presentations :)
