Graphics modified with PPT Recolor command

Dec 26, 2011

Hi,

I'm working with a PowerPoint presentation that contains some graphics that I have modified with the Recolor command, changing the graphics to match the theme colors contained in the template. When I build a course (CD or LMS, so far) the graphic colors are altered when I view the build. For example, a graphic that appears a blue gray in the presentation appears orange in the build. I verified that the theme colors in the presentation template use the RGB color model.

For fun, I imported the same presentation into Storyline and the graphics appear correctly.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jo

Hi Jo, and welcome to Heroes!

Because PowerPoint does not give us the correct information for the color to be set if the color you select is one of the theme colors, we cannot provide a fix for this issue. It defaults to accent color irrespective of the actual selected theme color.

A work-around would be to set it to a custom color and not a theme color. For example, if you want black, and it is a part of the theme, then select more colors. On the color tab, select the color you need. Its RGB value will appear on the custom tab. Increment any of the RGB values by 1. For example, the RGB for black is 0,0,0. Change it to 1,0,0. This ensures that it is a custom color and not a theme color.

Upon publishing with Articulate Presenter, the colors should then come out right. Is that helpful?
