Handouts and IE10

Jul 22, 2013

Is there an issue with pdf file(from handouts tab) and internet explorer 10? The handouts work fine in Chrome and IE 9. When I run the presentation in IE 10 the links to the handouts do not open. Any clues? I'm desperate for a solution to this.

Thanks in advance!

Good Afternoon, Lou.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Open this link in IE 10.
  2. Click the Resources tab, then click the URL to a Test PDF link.
  3. Click the Resources tab, then click the PDF File Embedded within the Course link.

Do these links work for you?  As long as I allowed pop-ups within the browser, both of these links worked for me in IE 10.

Do you have pop-ups enabled?  Do you have a sample URL that I can test?

Please let us know what you find.  Thanks!

Lou,

Did anyone figure this out?

Just updated to Studio 13 and now the Resources are not showing up in IE, well to be clear IE 10 and IE 11.  It attempts to open the attached files in a tiny window.

Works fine in Chrome and Firefox.

Good Afternoon, Dan.

The link you've provided is to the HTML5 version of your published output.  Since IE's support for the HTML5 standard isn't quite where it needs to be, IE is not a supported browser for viewing HTML5 content.

I do see that the Flash version of your published output seems to be working fine in IE, so keep in mind that if you link to the presentation.html file in the published output, Presenter will automatically determine which version of your content to display when learners view it.

Please let us know if you need anything else, and have a great day!
