HELP! I have a slide with a Web Object video...

May 17, 2013

Good morning.

I need assistance with a slide.  I want the slide to advance automatically, however, it is a Web Object video and I can not find a place to tell the slide to wait a specific duration.  Can someone please assist me with setting slide durations.

Thank you!!

Hi Ron!

Sounds like you'll want to set the web object to Display in Slide, and also set it to Advance to Next Slide Automatically.

This article will help explain how to set that up.

Let us know if that does the trick

Peter--

This is great information is how I have my Web Object set up.  However, the screen moves on prior to the video being complete.  How/where can I set the duration of the slide to be longer?

I appreciate your assistance!

Hi Ron

Did the slide have audio in it previously? When you import audio or record narration in Presenter, the duration of each slide will match the duration of audio that was imported or recorded.

However, if you remove audio from a slide, the duration of the slide does not change. It retains the same duration as the audio that it previously contained. This is by design so as to maintain the animation timings.

In some instances, however, you may not want to maintain the slide duration of the audio that was removed. You can change the duration of slides after the original audio has been removed in a few different ways, as outlined here.

This too is a great solution, however, the videos I am using are 15 and 20 minutes in length... the other solution is much better for my needs.
