make sure you are using the same player template in your published file that you are previewing in your course. I have several versions of the same main template with slight variations with different names. So for this one, I might save as "HR_Player_noscrub". Then when you publish, you can easily find it in the Player Template dropdown list.
I think there is some confusion. I am not using PowerPoint at all in this project so I do not think the instructions will help in this case. I have disabled the seekbar in the "Player" settings and simply want to turn it on for two individual slides in Articulate

Player Templates, Player Controls, uncheck SeekBar.
Hi, I did this. I checked the preview and it's removed on the preview. I publish and it's still there.
Ugh.
nevermind. got it. had 2 of the same template names

Is it possible to only show seekbar on certain slides?
Absolutely Mark! Check out our documentation on slide properties here and you can choose the features you want for each slide :)

I apologize Mark. This is the Presenter forums, so I assumed you were utilizing Presenter.
If you are utilizing Storyline, you can set the slide properties for individual slides as well as explained here.
