How to convert presenter 09 pptx and ppta (or ptl) files to html 5?

Jan 21, 2021

Hello, we created a 3 hour 8 module training program in Presenter 09 a few years ago. The training program is still of value but now of course, it won't play.  We have the original pptx and ppta files for all 8 modules. The pptx have simple text and some graphic animations and the ppta is primarily the audio narration and quiz. We also have ptl files for all modes (81707.ppta.ptl) if that is better to work with.

How can, or more accurately, can we convert these into an html 5 or other useable output? If not, can we output these as video files so we have useable training mods?

thank you

Hi Phil,

The best way is to look at upgrading to Articulate 360, as you'll be able to publish those Presenter '09 courses using Presenter 360! All our current authoring tools allow for HTML5 only publishing - no more Flash needed!  We've outlined everything else you need to know about a Flash-free future with Articulate tools in this article.

You could also look at transitioning those files into Storyline 360 if you're looking to add further customization and interactions. Take a look at the trial of Articulate 360 here!

Happy to answer any other questions you have!
