HTML 5 version of Articulate 2013 not loading on PC without flash

May 16, 2016

Due to security reasons we are moving away from flash on PC, we use both Articulate Storyline and Articulate 13 to develop eLearning modules, we have uninstalled flash from the PC and tested the modules, we noticed that the Articulate Storyline modules worked fine without flash on Win 7 PC (IE 11, Google Chrome and Firefox), however Articulate 13 modules did not work, I would appreciate if anyone of you can provide any guidance or workaround to make the HTML 5 version of the Articulate 13 to load on PC in the absence of Flash.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Leslie,

Thanks for your response.

The following are our observations on further testing on a PC without Flash:

Articulate Storyline 1: Works only on Google Chrome

Articulate Storyline 2: Works on Google Chrome, Firefox and IE 11

Articulate Presenter 13: Works on Google Chrome, Firefox and IE 11

Based on the system requirements for each software listed above in the Articulate website, we understand that Articulate only supports HTML5 content in the latest version of Google Chrome on a PC.

Given that Articulate Storyline 2 and Articulate Presenter 13 HTML5 output is working fine on IE 11 and Firefox, we would like to know if Articulate has any plans to officially support IE 11 and/or Firefox in future releases?

I also noticed there were several discussions and looks like there is a feature request raised to enable support to publish HTML5 only output, we would like to know if this request will be implemented in the future release?

Thanks in advance for your response.
