Hyperlink to external websites in Presenter
Apr 27, 2011
Hi,
I am in an attempt to make a single slide Presenter file with a picture of US map in it. Users should be able to launch a new web page when they click on the different states in the map.
What I did:
- Draw free forms to represent each state (free forms filled with white and transparency 95%)
- Gave hyperlinks to these free forms
When I publish, I am able to launch the websites in new pages, (after I turn off the pop-up blocker) but my colleagues are not able to launch the websites even when they access the file from the same location in the network.
Please help...

Silly question, but have they switched off their popup blocker?
Otherwise it should work

Just a thought, have you published it to the web/intranet or is it on a shared drive?
On a shared drive flash security is probably preventing access to the internet

Thanks for the response Phil....
We tried dealing with their pop up blocker... I believe that s not the issue here...
I used publish to web option in Presenter and published to a location on a shared drive.
If flash security is preventing access to internet, what do you think is the solution?
You can either publish to CD put this on the shared drive and get them to open the .exe file that is created this will circumvent the flash security settings. Or they can add the area you have published to as a safe area in their flash security settings.
Hope this helps
Phil

Thanks for the quick support Phil...
Glad it worked
