I'm trying to place a hyperlink to a survey on one of my presentation slides. When I preview the slide, I can click on the link and it takes me to the survey; however, once I publish the entire presentation, the link no longer works. My cursor turns into a point-and-click hand the way it normally does when you hover over a hyperlink, but when I click, nothing happens.
Is there something I'm missing during publish to make sure the link remains active?
Hi Melissa! Be sure that you are not still trying to view this locally. You want to be sure that you are following the publish guidelines here and viewing the content in it intended environment.
I am finding that the hyperlink doesn't work even on my machine when I am viewing it post-publish. The link is to survey monkey, so it shouldn't be a local issue, right? It works in PPT slide show and even when I preview the slide in Articulate preview. But for some reason when it's all said and done, it doesn't work. I was wondering if there's a special way to insert a hyperlink...
Hi Melissa! Here is our documentation on hyperlinks.
Hyperlinks may not work as expected when previewing. To test hyperlinks, publish your presentation and upload it to a web server or LMS. Otherwise, local security restrictions may prevent your hyperlinks from working properly.
I insert a hyperlink in my course Storyline, but when it is published to the LMS 2004 4 edt, the link does not open. I've read the tutorials and interactions forum, but not encotrei answers. When I create a trigger for e-mail, is the same. Big hug,
What happens when you try to open it? Did you test it out in a few different browsers to see how it works there? You could also look at uploading your course to another LMS environment such as SCORM Cloud to see if the LMS is blocking access to the link. Here is an article to walk you through testing your content outside of your LMS.
