Incorporating Courses Developed in another product into Articulate

Oct 25, 2011

Hi,

I have 16 courses which were developed by someone else in a program called QuickLessons.  Our license for the product is up in January and I would like to convert them into Articulate asap.  Does anyone know the best way to do this?  Is there a way I can take move an entire course over???  I'm not sure if I'm being as clear as I would like so please feel free to ask me any questions to help with my latest puzzle.......

Thanks,

Jane

Hey Jane,

It looks like you're currently using a cloud-based authoring tool. so there's definitely no way to import that web content into Articulate Presenter, as all Presenter content must be created in PowerPoint. You could show your courses as a web object within Presenter, but it doesn't sound like that's what you want to do, so you would have to re-create your courses in PowerPoint / Articulate Presenter.

Does that help answer your question?

Hi Jane,

Without knowing anything about the files, I can't tell you for sure that that will work, but you can embed just about any type of content in PowerPoint and/or via Articulate Presenter. For example, if your files are videos, you can insert via Presenter. And you could use Articulate Video Encoder if you needed to convert the files to FLV.

Is that helpful?
