We have the movie appear in the Presenter Panel and need to know which movie is associated with which slide in case we need to replace it. For example, we put a movie called "10.flv" on slide 10. If you add a slide, then the slide numbering is off and we don't know which movie is associated with which slide. It's a pain to rename all the slides and movies. Hope this makes sense?
The only solution I can think of is to put the file name off the slide area in the PPT.

Phil - That works for movies that display in the slide but not for movies that display in the Presenter Panel. The movie has a small icon on the slide - when you click it, it acts like a graphic.

Can you clarify what you're looking to accomplish? Would creating a text box under the movie accomplish that?

If you right click the inserted flv/swf and choose properties you can see the filename

oops sorry never read the whole post, can you use the slide title instead as the name of your swf
