Hi, I have a problem with PowerPoint 2010, I update my PowerPoint from 2007 to 2010, but before PP2010 I already have Articulate Presenter 09 installed.
PowerPoint 2010 recognized Articulate, so I create a presentation and insert some flash movies into slides. I can preview and publish and save all my work. Later, to continue working on the same presentation, when open the presentation, surprise.... all the flashes desappear but not the slide. I disable the ad-in, save my presentation again, enter to PowerPoint, enable the ad-in, open the presentation, ad son flashed, save and exit. But when I open again the same file there is no flashes inserted.
Can you help me? Think I´m moving back to PowerPoint 2007

Hi eny paz,
Can you tell me what method you're using to insert the SWF files? Also, were the SWF files created using our recommended best practices?

Finally, can you verify that the communicator add-in is enabled?

Hi Brian,
This issue was brought up on the old forum with no resolution. I am experiencing the exact same problem. Why do my flv files turn into video place holders every time I reload a presentation. And it has nothing to do with size, length, encoding, directories, etc..
that is standard articulate behaviour, the placeholder will be a video when you publish as long as you inserted them via the articulate ribbon and you have not moved the video
Phil,
Thanks but not so much. This problem was well documented in the old forum. When you close powerpoint and reopen the file the flv videos do not play in the the preview mode. I have not tested if they do not get included in the published mode but I suspect from the other complaints I have read they do not. Oh I have PP2010. I hear this does not happen in 2007.
The videos should play in preview mode not only when published after reopening a file.
Thanks for trying.
I use 2010, flvs and swfs stay where they are and work in preview and publish, the only reason I have ever had it happen is when I move the flash files. The placeholder is normal behaviour not previewing or publishing is not
Are you using a network or usb drive?
Yes I use a USB. But this has happened off the C: drive on the machine too.
Others have experienced the same thing. I get to see the FLV play in the preview right after I put it in. But if I close the file and come back to it the movie is gone in preview mode. Not sure about publish.
It may help if you set your usb to a fixed drive letter otherwise it may remap each time and that would cause some of the problems,
