Inserting an interactive SWF
May 25, 2012
Firstly let me say that this community looks golden, I only wish I'd joined sooner!
I have created my own interactive quiz in Flash. It includes its own navigation and buttons, resolution is at 800x600. The frame rate is published as an .swf file, hosted locally at 30fps in both Flash and Presenter '09, and built in ActionScript 2.0 as per recommendation.
The problem arises when I import it into my PowerPoint presentation. Opening the individual .swf in the standalone Flash player I have no issues with it, however when I import it using Presenter and subsequently view the published product, Articulate whizzes through the slides as if it was a Flash movie, each frame lasting split seconds when in fact, each slide should not let you proceed without answering a given question. So I presume all interactivity is lost.
I apologize if this question has already been solved elsewhere, I've searched around and people seem to have similar issues but unfortunately no answers to speak of, and others are only concerned with FLV video. What I would like to know is: Is it possible to add interactivity into your Flash files and successfully use them in Articulate? And if it is, what could I be doing wrong?
Thank you for your time.

Hey Qasim, welcome to Heroes!
My first instinct is, when you inserted the SWF, did you choose to have it play independently of the slide?
Peter, your instinct was correct! It now functions like clockwork.
Thanks so much for such a swift reply.
Awesome! Glad to hear it
