I have some courses in Moodle that track number of screens viewed. They launch in a new window, and the template has the Exit tab (Studio 09) which we guide students to use in order to exit and record their progress.
However, I was wondering whether if they just closed the course window without using the Exit tab whether their completion will also record their progress? Does the Exit tab send a particular message to the LMS to record the score?
Thanks Phil. I was considering removing it as it doesn't work for some users, so if there's no difference to the tracking I may do so to make it easier!

Closing the window should record the progress, there should be no ned for an exit button in moodle.
