Not out of the box. it is a full course on or off option. Question: Why would you want to hide this? If you only want it available on certain slides, then you could add a button on the slide itself that allows the learner to look at the attachments only on those slides.
I want to hide it because once the attached document is open, the attachment windows in no longer needed and a user would have to close it anyway to go back to the quiz.
You're basically looking for a way to automatically close the Attachments window once an attachment has been selected. Unfortunately, that's not currently possible. However, it would make a great feature request:
You won't be able to modify the script in the Articulate player. However, if you built a custom skin, you'd probably be able to implement that type of functionality.

If this window's behavior is handled by on of the scripts it the folder maybe that's possible to do my modifying the script?
