Issues with PP > Articulate Resolution and resizing

Mar 25, 2011

Hello, all!

I am running into a problem with my Articulate course that has specifically to do with the sizing of the PP slides.

First, I have successfully created a skin for my courses which have pixel coverage both on the top and on the bottom and I am tasked with applying this interface to existing Articulate courses which were not designed for this Interface. These courses also have engage interactions within them that utilize the entire slide real estate, which places some of the content behind my Interface.

I cannot seem to figure out how to scale down the original PP slides so they will appear smaller in the Articulate course, or specify a smaller size anywhere in Articulate for the loaded slides so they will fit into the new Interface. On slides without engage interactions I know I can go through and adjust the individuals graphics/textual elements to fit in the content space within the Interface, but I see no way to do this with the engage interactions.

I have tried:

 - Scaling the PP slides down by adjusting the width/height in the "Page Setup" menu, however when publishing to Articulate it only scales them back up to fit 100% of the stage.

 - editing the engage.html file's width/height variables which does not seem to have any effect on the engage interactions when the course is refreshed or re-published.

 - changing the size of my Interface skin to see if that will force the Articulate stage size to be bigger

 - Staring intimidatingly at my monitors to see if I can force Articulate into submission through sheer willpower, but this only gives me a headache.

So, is there a way to edit the size of the PP or will Articulate just scale it out to fill the stage size (whether I have it locked or set to fill the browser window)? Furthermore, is there a way to specify the size of the engage interactions?

Thanks in advance!
