Issues with Quizmaker Questions and Browser Incompatibility

Nov 05, 2019

We have been working with our LMS, Net Dimensions, for quite some time with some issues with browser incompatibility (Chrome, Safari and sometimes Firefox).  We use Articulate Presenter '13 and Articulate Quizmaker '13.  Net Dimensions has tested our course and were able to reproduce the same issues we are having wherein the quizmaker questions do not render on the screen at all.  Another instance is where the quizmaker question did appear on the screen but regardless of what answer I chose it said incorrect.  With both of these issues, the learner is unable to move forward in the course.  Net Dimensions believes the issue is with the course design and not with the LMS.  Is there any way the content can be changed so that the questions are rendered on the screen in Chrome?  I've tested our course on Stormcloud through Chrome and have had the same issue.

Sorry you're at this obstacle, Marlo. We're happy to help you sort it out, and smart move to also test the output in SCORM Cloud!

What version of Chrome are you using? (Here are the supported browsers for viewing Studio '13 published output.) Also, are you able to share your Articulate Package so we can take a look under the hood? You can send it to us privately by using this upload link. We'll delete the file after troubleshooting!

I'm not sure what version of Chrome I was using. I'm assuming it was the latest version. Also many others were having an issue with Chrome as well. I will upload our Articulate Package to you via the upload link.

Thanks for your assistance.

Hi Marlo,

Thank you for sharing this! It looks like this is the published output file of the course. Could I have you re-send the source files as an Articulate Package? You can do this in PowerPoint by:

  • PowerPoint 2013 or Later: Go to the File tab on the PowerPoint ribbon, click Share, and choose Articulate Package.
  • PowerPoint 2010: Go to the File tab on the PowerPoint ribbon, click Save & Send, and choose Articulate Package.

After selecting a location for the file, this workflow will create a Zipped file that you can attach to this thread.

I hope I've done this right. I don't have the Save & Send option but I went to Share and it gave me the Articulate Package option so I did that and it is attached.

Thanks,
Marlo

It's telling me the file that it created with the instructions you provided is too big to attach to the email.

Hi Marlo,

Thanks for reaching out to share the package. That last one was just what we were looking for.

I wanted to let you know that your email signature came through above when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help.

I'm able to see the same behavior you are reporting. I'd like one of our support engineers to take a closer look at what's going on and I've already opened one on your behalf and shared your file with them.

Be on the lookout for an e-mail from someone on our team soon.
