Issues with Studio '09 upgrade to Studio 13

I just upgraded from Studio '09 to Studio '13 because our translation vendor saved my '09 files as '13 and I could no longer work with them. 

Now under a pressing deadline to finish my tasks, I've run into two problems (so far):

1. When I publish for LMS I cannot preview the course, neither from the dialog box that appears when publishing finishes or from the folder on my c:\ drive when I click on Launcher.  In Explorer 11 I get the orange Launch button (see attached) but nothing happens when I click it.  In Google Chrome I get a Java error message. 

2. The second issue is that when my '09 files that have audio/synchronization are converted to '13 format (after I say yes to the prompt), a new .ppta file is created but I lose all of my audio and synchronization.  How can I maintain my audio and synch during the conversion?

Issue number 1 is my most pressing issue because the first courses I'm working with have to audio.  But issue number 2 is very close behind.
