Lengthy Courses - Modular Interface
May 24, 2011
I was wondering if ever you've encountered the need to divide a rather lengthy course into smaller chunks wherein the trainee can select which chunk or module of the course they are interested in completing.
For example, one develops a course with 10+ modules where each module may consist of 3-8 sub-sections, all dealing with the overall topic of the module in question.
Rather than develop all these modules within 1 powerpoint file - due to file size and mgmt - could one successfuly develop each module as its own standalone course and have an interface listing all 10+ modules from which the trainee can select the desired module. If so, does an interface exist that would support this? Or would one have to develop some HTML links to enable this capability?
Any support in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Tony

Justin,
This is exactly the info that I was looking for. Thank you so much, it is greatly appreciated.
On another note, what is the best way to conduct a search within the e-learning heroes pages when wanting to find info such as that which you provided?
Cheers,
Tony
Hey Tony,
There is a search specific for Heroes right at the top of the Heroes pages. You can also search our support site as well as the old forums here:

Can you do the menu driven example: http://daveperso.mediaenglishonline.com/2009/05/12/create-a-menu-for-multiple-presentations/comment-page-1/#comment-42496
Then require all menu items be reviewed before moving on to a quiz?
not natively in articulate, you could simulate using a swf and flash variables, but these would notr save across sessions
