Lesson loading problem...

Sep 19, 2016

Hi..

Please have a look at the image I attached here. After publishing in Presenter 09 to SCORM, when I open it in different location, page is not moving from this status. I mean it stops at progress bar. Lessons are not loading properly. I checked in all the browser and also checked in WAMP server. Please help me.

Hi Prashanth- Sorry you're seeing this! What LMS environment are you using to test your course in? If you view a published Articulate Presenter '09 presentation on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.

To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Since you're publishing for LMS, I would recommend uploading it to SCORM Cloud to test as it's an industry standard. Let me know how that goes! :)

Thank you very much for the reply.

As you mentioned, the particular lesson can be viewed after uploading on
LMS. But no on standalone machine.

In fact all other lessons are playing in standalone which has same
template. Even I changed the template to same which were playing. Still not
getting the result.

Hope you are getting my problem.

Please do let me know if you have any other information.

Best regards,

Hi Prashanth,

Thanks for the additional details here! If I'm understanding correctly, the issue you're seeing most likely has to do with viewing it locally. When you publish for LMS, the published output will be formatted specifically for that environment. If you try to view that published output locally, you can experience features failing and a lot of unwanted behavior which may vary from course to course. To properly test your LMS output, uploading it to an LMS environment is the best way to ensure your course will function as designed.

However- if you need to share your course to be viewed locally, I would recommend using the option Publish for CD and then having the users double click the Launch_Presentation.exe file to view the course.

Hope that helps clarify a bit more, please let me know if you have further questions!
