Levelator has destroyed my audio - help!
Aug 20, 2011
I am updating a course from an older previous one. Since the original elearning course, I had to add some narration from a different speaker and since that time, I have changed my microphone. I found that there were huge variances in volume level so I used Levelator hoping it would make all the audio around the same level which it did. It all sounded okay and now that I have published the course, it is the worst quality audio I have ever produced. it sounds like I am talking in a tin can. I can't submit this course as is and I really don't want to have to re-narrate 124 slides! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alanna,
Do you create a backup of the original audio or are you stuck with the Levelator version of the audio?
Also, did you increase the quality of your presentation when you published it?

If you still have issues, you could convert your audio to 16 BIT 44.1 KHZ PCM wav files & then import them into Articulate. For more information, see the link below:

Well I experienced with manually adjusting the audio quality and it finally made a difference at 48. I was reluctant to make it higher since it is already a very graphically intensive course and I didn't want to have playback issues.
