I figured out a workaround - I used the Crop Tool to expand the image slightly, and that got rid of the extra lines when published. That'll work for now but I hope you can find an actual fix.
Thanks for sharing the file here. I can see it in Preview as well - it seems to be connected to the red and blue wiggly lines - how did you create them to begin with? It seems that they are images, not necessarily Powerpoint inserted lines, so it seems that some hidden elements are carrying over from the original image?
Do you have the original images? Did you have those lines in the original Illustrator file? I haven't used Illustrator but it seems that there is some element within those pngs that is being hidden but then shown during the preview/publish. Can you try readding them in and see how it behaves than?
Thanks Steve - I'm glad it's working now, and I'm guessing there is something remaining as a part of the image or that something occurred as a part of the initial import.

You state they are png files yet they appear to be a closed object... are you sure there is no chart in the slide present? Even hidden?
Thanks for the response!
No, the background is also an image so there's no Office graph on here.
They're not supposed to be closed objects, just lines.
Hi Steve! I'm not sure that I've seen this before. Would you be able to share your Articulate Package for us to take a look?
You bet! here you go:

No, they're not PPT objects, they're PNGs I created in Illustrator.

So, here's a weird thing - I re-imported the images, and the extra line didn't show up.
Hi Steve,
Well that's good news at least! Can you confirm that you're working on local project files and importing locally as well?
yes, all on C drive.
Thanks Steve - I'm glad it's working now, and I'm guessing there is something remaining as a part of the image or that something occurred as a part of the initial import.
