I have created a link to a spreadsheet held within a shrepoint site but when I click I get a page saying 'Action Cancelled' as if it can't find it. However if I then refresh the page I get the option to open the file. Is there a way of avoiding the action cancelled message?
Yes I'm linking to the excel spreadsheet (that is in a sharepoint document library) directly from the powerpoint slide. We wanted to keep it in a central location to avoid having to republish the course after any updates to the spreadsheet.
Yes, it could possibly be the issue. Would you mind posting a screenshot of the "action cancelled" message? This might provide me with some additional details.

Hi Tracie & welcome to Heroes,
Are you linking to the Excel file directly from a PowerPoint slide or are you inserting the Excel document as an "attachment" in Articulate?
Brian, I think Tracie is saying that she is linking directly to a SharePoint list. It is not living in an excel spreadsheet.
Hope this helps.

Hi Tracie,
Can you replicate the issue in another browser like Firefox or Chrome?
I dont have access to any other browsers and we are still using IE6! Could this be the problem?

Here you go. I was assuming it was a conflict between sharepoint and articulate.
Hi Tracie,
Can you try the following?
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Go to Tools > Internet Options.
3. Select the Security tab.
4. Click on Internet.
5. Click the Custom Level button.
6. Under the Downloads section, change "Automatic prompting for file downloads" to Enable.
7. Click OK.
8. Click Apply, and then click OK.
9. Restart your browser, and test your published content again.
