Local Web Object not loading

Jan 26, 2012

Hi

I have a single html file in a directory Local-Web-Object. I want to add it as Web Object. Purpose was to show the large text(in the HTML file) with scroll bar. But for some reason the the web object never get loaded by articulate presenter.

I have already watched Jeanette's Screenr on this topic and read various threads related to it. But no one has exact same issue as I have. I am publishing in CD format and then tried but it still does not load the web object.

Any idea or clue, why it could happen ?

I have also attached the HTML file I am using as local web object. I am using IE8.

Hi Peter,

Now it is working. I am not 100% sure why it has started working.
But here is the possible reasoning.
Most likely it is working because I made IE as default browser and
loaded the HTML page(player.html) of the CD publication. It asked a security
question "Do you want to run ActiveX control ?" I said yes. From that point
on wards the issue dis-appear. I mean now if I run "launch_presentation.exe"
then it works fine.
Earlier IE was default but I always loaded player.html by chrome. So IE never asked
that ActiveX security question. But "launch_presentation.exe" was loading IE.
But the wrapper written to load IE   was not showing the ActiveX control
security message.
Do you think my understanding is right or they might be some other reason who some
how got fixed ?
