Lock slide until audio completes?

Hi - I just upgraded to Presenter '13, and am having problems finding out how to edit the navigation like I used to in Presenter '09. Specifically:
- I want my users to listen to the entire slide narration before they can proceed to the next slide.
- I don't want them to be able to seek with the "seekbar." (I'm pretty sure I figured out how to do this.)
- I don't want them to be able to skip ahead to any slides that appear later in the session.
- I would like them to be able to go back to slides that they have already viewed.
I looked through the new support documentation, but couldn't figure out how to do this. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob McGuire

Hi Bob! The seek bar is a check box in the Player Properties ( From the Articulate tab click the Player button.)
Everything else should be handled by locking the navigation, which you can do in the Slide Properties ( Articulate tab » Slide Properties)
You can lock a slide via the two places highlighted here: (If you want to lock all your slides at once just press Ctrl+A to select all the slides and then lock them.)
You can find this and other slide properties information here: http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/managing-slide-properties.aspx
I just tried locking the slides as you described, and still have problems. Now when the slide audio finishes playing, nothing happens. Clicking on the "Next" button does not advance to the next slide.
Also, in Presenter '09, I used to be able to set it so that clicking on eitehr the "Next" button or one of the slide titles on the "Outline" tab would present the user with a "Back Only - You may only view slides that you have already viewed" message. (See attached screen image.) I don't see how to set this up in '13.
Thanks.
Also, all of my slides are set to advance by user. I don't want the slides to advance automatically. Do I somehow need to assign a "next slide" hyperlink to the Next button? If so, it seems like we've lost some of the functionality that used to exist in Presenter '09.
Hi Bob, my apologies...instead of the navigation being "locked" I should have said "Restricted" (And you're right..for locked slides you'd need to add a hyperlink on the screen)
From the Articulate tab, click the Player button then click the Menu button. At the bottom you'll see a gear icon for additional properties. In there the first option is for Navigation Restriction. Just set that to "Restricted" and that should still work the same way as it did in '09.
(The navigation setting in the slide properties would still be set to "Free")
Hi Mike. That "mostly" worked. The slide navigation is working as desired now, which addressed my main area of concern. However, I don't see a way to display the "Back Only - You may only view slides that you have already viewed" message when someone clicks on a slide they haven't viewed yet. Is it possible to add that message somehow?
Thanks.
Just following up on my last posting. Any way to display the "Back Only - You may only view slides that you have already viewed" message when someone clicks on a slide they haven't viewed yet?
Was this issue ever resolved. We're using '13 to update a presentation we built years ago with '09 and have the same issue. It feels like a broken like this and I think it would cause some user drop off if there's no way to restore the dialogue box.
Thanks.
Hi Michael!
Are you asking about the Back Only message? This is not a feature of Presenter '13. The user will see a small 'lock' image when they attempt to move to a part of the course that is still restricted.
Thanks, I hope you can add this back in for future versions. I don't think the lock makes it clear to the user what's going on, and hope they'll know to try and click it again once the audio is finished.
Hi Michael! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I know that other users have submitted this as a feature request and you are welcome to do the same.
