You can easily upgrade a project created in Presenter 5 to a Presenter 09 project. Please review the following article for instructions on how to update a project:
However, I don't think it's possible to upgrade a Presenter 4 to a Presenter '09 project, but I haven't tested. Feel free to try the solution above and see if it works for you.
You don't need Presenter 5 to upgrade your project. All of the assets that are required for that project are in the project folder which is the folder named after the PowerPoint file. If you look in that folder, you should see everything you need to convert the file to an '09 presentation. There is a narrations folder that contains all of the audio and the root of the folder would contain anything else like inserted Flash movies.

I have 2009 unfortunately the projects are in 2004. Would 09 open 04 files or can I get 09 to back version its coding to 04?
