Lose of sound and animation timings after publishing

Please can you help me with these two problems:
1. The presentation has voice recordings attached to it, when I play it in PowerPoint it works perfectly but as soon as I publish it I lose the sound. I have republished but to no avail. Also updated the software.
2. My next challenge with another presentation, the recordings were done using an Apple Mac and have multiple sound clips on some of the slides, when I publish, the sound from the first sound clip is retained but the rest of the sound clips for that slide are not, also the timings for the animations are not as they were in the presentation.

Welcome to Heroes, Carmel!
Are these the same two issues you're discussing over here?
What you're experiencing may have to do with the way in which the audio was recorded. Have a look:

Is that helpful? Please let me know if you have further questions...
Hi Peter
Thank you for your response. Yes they are the same two issues.
I have had a look at the post and confirmed that the narrations were done in the manner that supports articulate. It has worked perfectly fine for a couple of other presentations that were recorded in the same manner. I have also updated and re-installed my version of articulate and then re-published the presentation but can still not get it to work.
Peter is there any way that I can merge the multiple sound clips on the other presentation so that I can import it? I am also losing animation timings on that one once it is published.
Thanks for your assistance.
Carmel
Hey Carmel,
Thanks for clarifying. The following article should help you combine your audio files:

As far as the animations, exactly what type of animations are you using? Something to keep in mind is, you may find that your animations are not synchronized as expected if all the following criteria are true:
* You attempted to sync the same slide more than once using the Sync Animations tool.
* You did not click the Save & Close button in the Sync Animations tool between attempts.
* You used the Play button in the Sync Animations tool to preview the slide.
Please review the following article for more information:
Hello Peter
Thank you for all your assistance and support. I am happy to report that with the added assistance or your Articulate support here in Johannesburg, my presentation is published and is working optimally! David Janis and Cristina Macovei from Kalleo where instrumental in this and I would also like to express my thanks for their spirit of support and professionalism.
Stay well!
Carmel
That's great news, Carmel! Congratulations!
Hello. I am having a similar issue: I've inserted pre-recorded audio in either .mp3 or .wav format for six previous courses in the last two months and uploaded to our LMS and they work fine. Starting yesterday, I followed all the same steps and when I preview before publishing I can hear sound. Once I publish and open up the files I still hear the narration. But once I upload into our LMS (EthosCE) I can't hear the narration. I am not doing anything differently. Is this something I should be asking our LMS support people?
Hi Ruth!
Yeah, it sounds like it may be an issue with the LMS. You might want to look through this article to see if anything sticks out to you, and I'd especially recommend running your course through SCORM Cloud, which is described in the article. If you can replicate the behavior in SCORM Cloud, we'd be happy to take a closer look at your files. If you can't reproduce the issue in SCORM Cloud, it's most likely an issue with your LMS.
I sent them the .zip file and they said the don't see any audio on it. I don't understand how that could happen because when I open up "Import Audio" within the presentation I can see all the previously imported audio.
Hi Ruth,
If you'd like, we'd be happy to take a closer look at this. Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:
Send to Articulate Presenter Package – Articulate Presenter ’09 Help
Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Thanks!
Thanks, Peter. I did it less than an hour ago
Thanks for your help!
