Losing a lot of image quality when publishing

Nov 15, 2019

Good day!

I have been trying to use Articulate '13 for a couple of weeks now, but a encounter some critical problems with regards to image quality and Presenter screen resolution. I tryed saving pictures as .PNG files instead of JPEG ones, but I don't really see a difference when publising (I always start from PowerPoint presentations). Would anyone have some tips & tricks I could use? Any best practices I should be considering?

Thanks!

Hi Josée,

Thank you for sharing a file of what you are seeing! This might be a result of the published output that is scaled larger than the image's original size. This guide should help to avoid scaling and to sharpen the images: Images Are Blurry in Published Output

Please let us know if you continue to hit any snags!  We are happy to help!

Hello Lauren!

Well, we discovered the bluryness may have something to do with my screen. With all the recommandations I received, it made a huge difference when viewing on another screem.

One problem we have now is that it seems that we can only view the presentation with Internet Explorer... When we open in Chrome, we see the Presenter, but not the slides... Any thought?

Hi Josée,

Thank you for providing an update! I am glad to hear that the blurriness has gone away.

In regards to your second question, a few things to consider here:

Currently, Studio '13 supports these browsers listed here that learners can use to view your course.

Hello Josée,

Are you viewing the html5 link from the published output folder? This file isn't created to stand alone, but rather a compressed version of the course created to be viewed on the web. I'd recommend publishing the course for the web and uploading the .zip folder to Tempshare. Tempshare will provide a temporary link for you to test in different browsers!

Keep us updated on the outcome!
