Lost all slide audio

May 27, 2014

Last week I was working on my first Presenter presentation. I imported audio, edited it, and synched it to my ppt animations, saving my file constantly. Today I open the file and, oops, no audio. Only the audio on the quizzes and interactions remains. None in the ppt slides. Is there some way of retrieving or reconnecting to the work I did last week? I really don't want to have to do it all over again.

Hi Jim and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

Articulate Presenter '13 doesn't support audio that was recorded or imported in PowerPoint. You'll need to record or import audio in Presenter instead. If you already recorded or imported audio in PowerPoint, you may be able to extract it.

If you recorded your audio in Presenter '13 as you should, see this article for reasons and solutions of why your audio may be missing.

Yes, thanks for the article links. I did in fact have some -old files, one of which had my audio intact, which I was able to reconnect to the pptx. I also took the advice to work off my local drive vs. a network or removable.

Also, I'm still having trouble with masters, where formatting and position aren't being applied to the slides. I posted about that on Thursday specific to feedback masters, but I'm having problems with slide masters as well.
