Lost Audio file when publishing

Nov 01, 2011

Recently I had a lesson file I created with Presenter. I had attached an audio file (.wav) that I had timed animations to on all the slides in my presentation.  After I published the file and played it, I couldn't hear my audio. When I looked at the Audio Editor, the audio had completely disappeared (although I did see that the timings were still there). It has happened to me on two different occasions.

Does anyone have any insight so I can avoid this problem in the future??

Hi Kristin,

If you are working in Presenter '09 and notice that your audio is missing, please review the following article, which outlines reasons and solutions:

Also, be sure that your presentation is located on your local hard drive (your C: drive).  Working on a network drive or a USB (external) drive can cause erratic behavior, including loss of resources.
Let me know if that resolves the issue. Good luck!
