I have a problem. When attempting to open a specific ppt presentation, I get an error from Microsoft Visual Basics "file not found", and ppt closes and will not let me access the document. I know the document is there and able to be accessed because it can be accessed from another employee's machine.
I am working with:
Microsoft Office 97, 32 bit
Windows 7, 64 bit
Articulate '09, 32 bit
Please help! I have not been able to work around this error.
Thanks for posting your screen shot. It looks like you're working off of a network drive (Y: drive). Moving these files to your local hard drive will resolve the issue. Here are some additional tips for managing your files which can help prevent issues.
1. Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
2. You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
3. Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.

Hi Justin,
Are you using Office 97 or Office 2007?
Also, are you opening the PowerPoint file or are you opening the PPTA file?
We're running office 2010 but saving it as a 97-2007 file. We're opening the PPT file.
Can you post a screenshot of the PowerPoint file and the PPTA file in your folder?
Here ya go!
