missing speaker notes...sometimes

Yes, I am experiencing missing speaker/narration notes when recording PPT slides in Articulate. It seems to me that when I have added new slides in the middle of the presentation, these notes are not being picked up for narration notes. I am intending to show the notes when the course is played (and not the menu) so I really need them. I have used other software...or earlier versions of this and it allows you to update the speaker notes during recording as they may have been edited since the last recording. If this is supposed to work automatically and pull them in, it's not...sometimes...doing it. Please advise if there is a way to do this manually.
